The Metro of Line 1 is a fundamental transport line, capable of connecting the “old” Naples, the truest and most lived, from the hill and more recent Vomero, from Casa Rubinacci is a bit but you can easily reach it from the Mergellina Station, stop in Piazza Garibaldi.

The station is located in the hilly area of the city. From here it is possible to reach, either on foot or by bus, the Museo di Capodimonte.

Designed by Gae Aulenti, it was inaugurated in 2002. Outside, two glass structures frame Dante’s statue in the center of the square of the same name, while inside there are installations by Neapolitan and international artists such as Joseph Kosuth and Jannis Kounellis. Piazza Dante is one of the most important squares in Naples and is located in the historic city center.
The street is one of the main arteries where the variegated shopping of Naples winds, between shops like Zara and H&M… and churches and noble palaces.

It serves the areas of the central Piazza Municipio and the pier Beverello . Nearby are Castel Nuovo , the historian Mercadante theater . It has been called an “archaeological station” for the discovery of as many as five Roman ships during the construction works.
Inaugurated in 2013, it is connected to the Napoli Centrale railway station and to the Metro Line 2.
It was designed by the architect Dominique Perrault: its peculiarity lies in the fact that the escalators in the interior interweave suspended in middle-air.
